should I sell the z3 coupe and rubicon for a W460 G-wagen?

maybe being so late at night it's affecting my thinking lol but I been wondering about this lately. The Z3 has been a great all around car, but I hardly drive it the way it's meant to be because a) roads suck here, potholes and speedbumps every 10 feet and often poorly mantained. and B) because wife doesn't like speed at all.

the jeep in other hand it's extremely clean and has roughly 50k miles (low miles for being an 03) it lacks space and it's not the most comfortable vehicle out there but it's plenty of fun even though fuel economy isn't the best. (gas goes up every month here in Mexico and it won't go down at all sadly)
I been thinking of selling both and getting a 300GD, due to how much I like the classic design and the extra practicality

anyone with previous experience on those?

I say go for it! Just try to avoid one with too much "bling". I think it's a shame the modern version has become more of a status symbol than a rugged off-roader. When I think of a proper G-wagon this is what comes to mind:

Simple, rugged, and utilitarian.

Until I read that your roads were awful my face was contorted. I've spent a week in the company of a G350 and it was... novel. Not that comfy, economical OR spacious it's the worst of most worlds. However, if your roads are arse and your wife doesn't like going fast it might just be perfect for you.

ha yes, I want to get one so I can throw some beadlocks, 35's with a slight lift, roof rack, and heavy steel bumpers, similar to the W461 in the picture. the total opposite to what the new bling'd up G's come with now a days.

lol sounds like it's about the same as the jeep then, rides very rough, lol and yes our roads are horrid, I don't live in Mexico city anymore so I'm talking about speedbumps where you need somewhere around 8-12 inches of ground clearance, and it's a mix between dirt roads and highways. I love the z3 coupe, there is only a handful of them in the whole country, but it makes me cringe everytime it bottoms out.
